The general public is just beginning to understand how important protein is cognitive functioning. It’s protein that keeps you full and helps you focus! Lytt and Mike have known this for years. As soon as the formula was ready, they reached out to Dr. Gio Valiante to ask his opinion.
Gio spent decades researching and understanding how the brain affects physiology, muscle tension, thought patterns and ultimately performance. Cognitive focus dictates physical performance, which is in part generated from proper nutritional intake. Through his research of athletes and human physiology, Gio concluded that a lack of sufficient protein intake negatively affects cognitive performance and physical performance.
When he heard about PocketProtein, he was “all in” immediately.
Gio is currently a professor at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. As a mental game consultant to the Golf Channel, Golf Digest, and the University of Florida he understands better than anyone how important protein is to keep you calm, settled and focused.
Gio has an unparalleled track recording with over 30 victories on 4 worldwide tours. He works with many of the game’s top players including: Camilo Villegas, Stuart Appleby, Justin Leonard, Chris Dimarco, Chad Campbell, Jack and Gary Nicklaus, Heath Slocum, Notah Begay III, Charles Howell III, Tommy Armour III, Bryce Molder, Matt Kuchar, Davis Love III and many, many more.
Gio graduated from the University of Florida and earned his Psychology PhD from Emory University.
